Griffin has spent more than a decade on the business side of medicine. At NYC Health + Hospitals, the largest municipal health system in the United States, he designed and led a system-wide denials-management initiative that reduced denial rates 27% in six months, helped recover more than $7.7 million in lost revenue, and raised billing accuracy from 87% to 98%. As a senior healthcare consultant at Guidehouse, he led revenue-cycle analytics for a $1B+ multi-system health care client and cut accounts-receivable days by 31%.
Alongside his operating work, Griffin Katz publishes peer-reviewed research, including a sole-author systematic review and meta-analysis of GLP-1 receptor agonists in Hormone and Metabolic Research (2025) and co-authorship of a Methods in Enzymology paper on imaging bone marrow fat that has been cited more than 220 times.
